In all we targetted who we wanted to meet looked for those businesses through the show guide and then went for it After an hour our mission was accoplished and we were both so pleased with our results. We were thinking about having a stand there the next time.....I wonder if its worth it If you have had a stand there before let us know how you got on after the show.

<title>The Grass is Never Greener</title>
<link>http://www.optimumconsult.co.uk/page12.htm#32523</link>
<description>Hi
Recently Optimum was invited to speak at a Supplier Diversity networking event hosted by Engage Magazine. What fun we had The topic was on stimulating a debate about how miniroty SMEs should take up the opportunites to dabble in supplying services to public sector. Alas this is achievable when we work together.
The government recognise they have began to make steps towards engaging with SMEs there is still way to go and this was evident when we began to debate about supplier consortioums....watch this space as this is only just the beginning of our journey we aim to become more active in working with SMEs to creat solutions and overcome barriers to winning public sector business.
Thanks to Craig and Gloria for inviting is to this event and as a follow up I wrote this article for the magazine. Post your comments about your experiences that you have had with Selling to the Pubic Sector.
